Youth Cheats Elderly Man Out of Pension Money Under Guise of KYC

In Gonda district's Itaithok police station area, a 70 year old man fell victim to a cheating scam. Mohammad Rais, a resident of the same village, allegedly cheated the elderly man, Shivnath, out of Rs 3,000 under the pretext of conducting pension KYC.

*Victim's Account*

Shivnath alleged that Mohammad Rais called him to his house and asked him to put his thumb impression, claiming it was for KYC purposes. Shivnath claimed that Mohammad Rais cheated him in a planned manner.

*Victim's Plea*

The elderly man has approached the local police station and the DIG, but no action has been taken yet. The accused is roaming freely and is on the lookout for his next victim.

*Demand for Action*

Inspector Shesh Mani Pandey assured that an investigation is underway and action will be taken against the culprits.
